GAD Focal Point System
The GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) is the mechanism that drives gender mainstreaming across the University. Established under CHED Memorandum Order No. 01, Series of 2015, it creates and coordinates gender and development policies, guidelines, programs, projects, and activities at every level of the institution.
Its primary framework is the University GAD Agenda — the University's strategic plan on gender mainstreaming and on achieving women's empowerment and gender equality, anchored on Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 10.
- 1Policy Development — crafting GAD-related policies aligned with SDG 5 and SDG 10 to guide the University's initiatives.
- 2Institutional Vision — building a gender-transformative university that develops competent, globally aware individuals within an inclusive, safe, empowering, and just environment.
- 3Program Implementation — conducting GAD activities and monitoring college and department plans through established assessment tools.
- 4External Partnerships — supporting Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) initiatives through active collaboration.
- 5Technical Support — extending gender-equality advocacy assistance to partner agencies and the wider community.
- 6Reporting & Coordination — consolidating institutional gender reports and submitting them through the proper monitoring systems.
- 7Regulatory Compliance — fulfilling reportorial mandates from PCW, CHED, and regional gender and development councils.
